Reinventing the Process of Care
Paul Read, MD, and his radiation oncology team are designing a new approach to caring for patients with advanced cancer that has spread to the bone. The new process aims to:
- Reduce weeks of radiation into a single visit
- Keep patients out of the hospital and home with their loved ones as much as possible.
- Improve quality of care and
- Enhance each patient's quality of life
This new model received a Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services Innovation grant of more than $2.5 million.
